The race sets off from its start \/ finish port of Les Sables d\u2019Olonne, on the Atlantic coast of France, in November in order to avoid the worst of the Southern Ocean weather by sailing the Southern Ocean stage of the race in the Southern Hemisphere summer.<\/span>\r\n<h2><b>Who is racing in the 2024 Vend\u00e9e Globe?<\/b><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entries opened for the 2024 Vend\u00e9e Globe in February 2022, with 55 skippers registering their interest.
